Out of Retirement for Apple
- stickybomb

Apple announced the new series of Mac Books today. They have made design changes to the 13″ and 15″ models and minor spec changes to the air and 17″ models. I have not yet had a chance to get my hands on the new 13″ and 15″ models to test, but as soon as I am able expect an in depth review about them.
However by just watch and reading all the content I can gather about them I can speculate!
The new release was in fact a huge disappointment in my eyes. First they did not share the new upgrades with the flagship laptop in the 17″ I can understand not giving it the same design since the design in my opinion looks amazing but is completely unusable. As for their upgrades I was throughly disappointed in the mediocre improvements they did make. The biggest upgrades that people wanted were sorely left out. First up the Blue-Ray which I new would not be included. Second the addition of Quad Core processors. Thirdly they increased memory capacity of RAM both the system and the graphics unit.
Now knowing Apple I am sure there was a reason for this and maybe another update to the higher end is in the works. It does seem to me that this was more a reorganization of models. The improvements were drastic to the 13″ but not really the 15″. It seems that they might be planing with the growing of the technically inclined that they are moving the 15″ model to be classified with the standard MacBook, or even separate them into three classifications the MacBook 13″, the MacBook Pro 15″, and the MacBook Elite 17″. Perhaps we are just seeing the beginning of what’s to come.
For now all we can do is hope the the coming months brings us more.
